Our first Masterclass of 2018 explored what it means to be an ally in our everyday lives. Since we know it takes everyone being an ally to make the most impact, we invited our traditional group of Lean In Seattle members and encouraged attendees to bring their allies to learn with us. Our most diverse audience yet included, men, women, and children.
We kicked off the event with a fireside chat with the team from Mastin Labs, followed by a panel discussion with a diverse group of allies led by The Riveter’s Head of Marketing, Jonna Bell. We left the event with a strong sense of the actionable steps we can take to continue being everyday allies. Attendees shared their pledges in our #EverydayAllies photo booth.
