Legacy Leaders

Cor took over leadership of the Chapter in December 2015 from Founder Pam Kilborn-Miller. In two years, Cor led massive growth efforts resulting in a 1900% increase in members to more than 4,000 women and an expansion of the leadership team from the one-leader model to a new model started in December 2017 where more than 100 woman threw their hat in the ring to lead. Cor set the foundational of leading with mission, vision, values and action pillars—a structure that guides the Chapter today and is fundamental to its success and reputation as the most strategic Chapter worldwide. Along with Lt. Col. Erika Cashin, Cor co-founded Lean In Women Veterans. The Lean In Seattle Chapter became the first pilot chapter to deliberately welcome women veterans, stemming from the conviction that women veterans and their civilian counterparts have much to learn from each other and that together truly is better.

  Brittany Flajole

Brittany Flajole

Brittany volunteered to participate in and moderate one of Jana Morrelli's Lean In Circles in 2013, and she has been leading a Circle ever since. With a background in facilitation, organizational development and training, Brittany partnered with fellow Lean In Seattle members to create our very own Moderator Training and Circle Kickoff event to encourage people to join and lead Circles. During the two years that Brittany served on the leadership team, she trained more than 200 members to be moderators and facilitated the start of sixty Circles. In 2017, Brittany presented the Seattle Chapter’s best practices for growing Circles at the Regional Lean In Conference in Palo Alto, CA.

Jana started Lean In Circles for the Seattle Chapter in 2013 with a group of fifteen women in her living room. They saw their lives changed with encouragement to ask for promotions, apply for new jobs and face their biggest fears. The Circles in our Chapter quickly grew to two, then eight, and then dozens. The life-altering impact that a small group of supportive women can have on each other has spread and Circles are now a vital part of our Chapter.

  Jonna Bell

Jonna Bell

In January 2016, Jonna stepped in to lead marketing and programming efforts that helped Lean In Seattle become one of the organization's most recognized chapters. Pulling from her experience in B2C and B2B, as well as startup growth hacking, Jonna set social, content, PR and technology strategies to support an increase in membership of more than 1,000%. In her 1.5 years as a chapter leader, her efforts brought the physical and digital community spaces together to create seamless, accessible connections for members at any level of engagement.

Amy attended her first Lean In meeting in March 2016. By April she joined the leadership team, helping to formulate the strategy that would fuel Lean In Seattle's transformation to the 4,000-person strong movement it is today. She brought her fifteen-plus years of marketing, operations and business development to establish a sustainable business process for our Chapter’s operations.

Kim created and managed the first Circle matching program for the Chapter, helping to connect members in more than a dozen new Circles. This initial program iteration provided insight on the value women hoped to get out of their Circle, the tools necessary to kick off a successful Circle, and how to guide members in creating or joining a Circle that’s the right fit for them. Kim has been a proud member of her Lean In Circle since 2013.

Founder of the Grounded in Strength Circle, and early contributor to the Lean In Seattle Chapter, Kate has been helping women become stronger and more confident communicators for more than 25 years.

Pam co-founded the Seattle Chapter of Lean In in 2014. She started as co-host of the Seattle Lean In Circle with Sue Punyapu in 2013. Within two years, the Circle grew 800% and often ranked first in terms of activity on the early Lean In Network site. Pam handed off the leadership of the Chapter to Cordila Jochim and her superb team in 2015.
